Summer edit: Inside Palorosa!

Sep 12, 2024

Curious to get to know the Palorosa Universe from a new and different point of view, this summer we asked friends and customers to take a photo of their Palorosa from above, with the idea of discovering what’s inside. An intimate and unusual look, a collection of images that talks about you. The shots are natural, we observed the different ways of using the bag, we discovered habits, passions and personal details.

We received a lot of images that gradually became many: some requested, others spontaneously shared, some found. The Palorosa Universe is growing.

Baskets full of fruit and vegetables, essential bags and chaotic mini tote. Inside Palorosa is an invitation to discover the diversity hidden inside each Palorosa, a way to get to know the bag and its wearer from a different, completely spontaneous and authentic perspective.

We asked some special people to tell us who they are, what bag they have, what they put in it and what they like. Immediate answers tell us about the life of their Palorosa: objects, scattered thoughts, summer memories to always carry with them.

“I’m a busy designer & mom so I try to squeeze in some drawings whenever I can.

I carry an iPad mini, a notebook, a zip clutch (with chargers, a scalpel, mini scissors and pens), 2 pairs of glasses, sunglasses wherever I go.
This is in addition to the basics of wallet, phone, tissue & folded umbrella.
And all of it fits rather miraculously into this teeny tiny Palorosa basket.

Ps. I love cat”

Joann Tan

“I’m a mom of two kids. I have the largest size available.
I put everything I need in it at that moment, or it’s ‘empty when it leaves, but full, very full when it comes back.’
I like it because it fits everything, and it can be washed. Always with us when we’re heading out.”

Keiko Yakushi

“Lisa, writer and author of Upstate: Living Spaces with Space to Live.
I have the Tobacco Basket in Large.

I have taken my Palorosa bag everywhere from the beach to the pond to the Farmer’s Market and on a cross-country road trip and back—it’s so, so versatile. I also often use it as a catchall for packing loose ends!

A typical rundown of things that have been tossed in the bag include beach towels, canvas dropcloths, other bags, sunglasses, books, magazines, and all kinds of fruit and produce.

Summer, the sun on my face, a good night’s sleep, the way light catches frost on fallen leaves, eating peaches over the sink, dreaming big, the smell of creosote after it rains, piñon firewood, the way my dog smells, falling asleep next to my husband, a freshly made bed.”

“I am Laszlo Badet. I’m from Switzerland, and I’ve been living in Paris for 12 years. Today, I’m both a chef and a model, but for over ten years, I worked as a seamstress for a prestigious fashion house in Paris, Chanel.

I have the large white basket and the medium line bag in Palm. These bags have been with me everywhere for the past two years. I use them for all my vacations as well as every day. Most of the time, I take the basket with me as my cabin luggage because it’s the perfect size and holds everything I need for the flight: my laptop, cosmetics case, chargers, papers, and pens. In my smaller line bag, I keep my essentials like my wallet, sunglasses, passport, and Air Pods.

I love taking them with me when I travel because they’re perfect for every occasion. I can load them up, and they hold the weight perfectly without hurting my shoulders. I slip it between my legs on the scooter, and I can clean it with water in just a few seconds. I use the line pouch as a hand-held or crossbody bag. Also, I love the large basket because my boyfriend uses it too, whether it’s for going to the market, carrying beach essentials, my work gear, or for a picnic.

I never part with it! At home, when I’m not using it, I keep it displayed in my room as a catch-all bag.”

“I’m Andrea, a graphic designer based in Milan. I’m always with my laptop (unfortunately 24/7), and my bag is an organized chaos of little pouches: lip balms, creams, glasses, medicines (you never know when a headache will strike!), chargers and notebook.

My Palorosa tote bag is my perfect companion: I don’t know how, but there’s always room for everything! It fits every single item of my daily survival kit.”

Andrea Cappelli

“Cecilia’s friend, architect, often changes cities but always with a Palorosa.
I have a Mini Tote.
Inside it change according to season: creams, fan, mask, pills, gloves, scarf, glasses, camera, keys at least two pairs.
I like so many things including Palo!”

Anna Tordera

“I’m Evelina, I’m from Lithuania but I’ve been living in Milan for more than 10 years. I’m a former model and now I work as a casting director / booker.
I have a medium basket, and I really put everything in it: for the beach, in the city, from the office, for picnics, or market shopping.
It’s incredibly versatile and of high quality.”

Evelina S. Bringheli

“I am a multidisciplinary artist of Italian and Thai origin.
I have a big bag in chocolate.
Inside there is my iPhone, books, colours, diary, keys, glasses, lipstick, candy, compass.”

Giulia Peyrone

“I’m Elena, a Milanese by adoption, a photographer, and a curious person. I have two bicolor Palorosa totes: the tobacco and light blue one for the warm season, and the tobacco and midnight blue one for winter.

And I have Palorosa touches scattered around my home too! The placemat for breakfast and two baskets on the bathroom cabinet, which turned out to be perfect for holding perfumes and creams. There are some permanent residents: my wallet, keys, a case for pens and pencils, business cards, two pairs of glasses, and the book I’m reading at the moment. Then, depending on the destination, the contents can change: a beach towel, my laptop, a point-and-shoot camera with black-and-white film, a bunch of fresh flowers…

I love the bag’s versatility, the color palette (I’m already planning my next purchase), and the minimal but never unnoticed design.”

Elena Braghieri

“Silvia, stylist, Milan. I love all the models, one for every occasion.

My first love is the classic Palorosa tote bag. I use it for every occasion: in the city to carry everything I need on my scooter or for a trip out of town. I love it at the seaside because it’s cool and durable. In the mountains for a picnic on the lawn.

It is practically indestructible with an unbeatable color palette.”
